What is aloe vera?

Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) is a succulent plant whose thick leaves store a clear, water-rich gel. Its place in beauty care goes back to ancient Egypt. We use an organic juice from the leaf, which contains natural polysaccharides (plant sugars that help skin hold on to moisture) and antioxidants.
