What is iris florentina?

Iris florentina, the Florentine iris, is named after Florence, Italy, where it has long been grown. Its rhizome (an underground stem), known as orris root, has a rich history in perfumery and in traditional beauty care. Our organic extract comes from the root and is naturally rich in isoflavones, plant compounds with antioxidant properties.
