What is tamanu oil?

Tamanu oil comes from the nuts of the tamanu tree (Calophyllum inophyllum), which grows along the coasts of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. In Polynesia, it has been part of everyday beauty rituals for generations. The rich, green-gold virgin oil is pressed from the dried kernels.
