Organic Kelp Extract

What is kelp extract?

Kelp is the common name for large brown seaweeds. Laminaria digitata, the species in our extract, has a long, flat frond split into finger-like blades, hence its name: "digitata" means "fingered". Like other kelps, it is naturally rich in polysaccharides, such as alginates, and in minerals. We use an organic extract.

How it looks and feels on skin

• Its polysaccharides help skin hold on to moisture, so it feels hydrated and smooth.
• Leaves skin feeling fresh and comfortable.
• Light and water-soluble, so it suits toning lotions and mists as well as serums and creams.
