Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate)

What is vitamin E?

Vitamin E is the name of a family of fat-soluble compounds, the tocopherols, found in plant oils, nuts and seeds. Tocopheryl acetate is vitamin E bound to acetic acid. This form is more stable than free vitamin E (tocopherol), which is quickly used up on contact with light and air, so it keeps well in a formula. Vitamin E is a well-known antioxidant: in PERLE, X² and ETERNA, we pair tocopheryl acetate with tocopherol, which helps protect the plant oils in the formula from going rancid.
